Successful Journalism Lab

The Successful Journalism Lab is a pop-up newsroom and learning space from Successful Journalism for Communities. It is an annual one-week program with guidance from Guest Mentors – people with professional journalism experience.

There is no tuition or compensation for participating in Successful Journalism Lab, which is open to up to six college students and early career professionals.

Starter Lab

Starter Lab is a rapid learning program for college and high school students. It is not a prerequisite for Successful Journalism Lab, though it can be helpful. The Starter Lab is a 15-hour program, including work on your own and several hours of instruction and editing from us. A tuition fee of $295 is required to participate in Starter LabHours are scheduled after acceptance.
